Windows does not recognize new harddrive

I just installed a sata hard drive and the drive is recognized in bios and in
device manager under disk drives and it also shows up in device manager under
the ide atapi controllers/ primary ide channel but is not listed with my
other two drives in "My Computer" nor does the disk manager see it. My other
two hard drives are ide and I have a sata cd rom drive that works properly.
This is an oem drive that did not come with any software. Any ideas? Thanks!

I have never installed a sata after the fact but I know when you do a fresh
install of windows it always ask for software floppy to load mfg driver! I
had to do that and it wasn't even a raid setup. Downlaod mfg driver to see if
that works.
