Windows Deployment Services Issue

Hello

I am trying to deploy an XP image (SP3) to a Dell Latitude D630 (BIOS A15)
via WDS. Once the laptop goes thru the sysrep process and reboots, I would
recieve an "Unmountable Boot Volume STOP 0x000000ED (0x89924590, 0c000014f,
0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I am able to deployed a previous XP image (SP2) to the same laptop with no
issues.

I've tried different methods that I've found on the web, but to no avail.
Somehow the partition creation in WDS is conflicting with SP3, or vice
versa.

Anyone else experienced this problem?

If I'm in the wrong forum, please direct me to the proper one.

Thanks,
Steven

I'm having the same issue using MDT/Deployment Workbench.
XPSP3 with or without any additional Applications or Hotfixes.
However, If I boot with the LiteTouch CD, Continue from the first
dialog to the OS menu dialog, then from the second CMD window (lower
left of the screen minimized) /APPLY the SAME captured image from the
command line using ImageX, then quit and reboot everything is fine.
The system reboots, Sysprep runs, reboots and get to desktop. Not
BlueScreen 0x000000ED?
Does it on D630 and VMWare 6.5 VM.
It seems to be something that the task sequencer is doing. I disabled
the SysPrep step in the Apply the WIM.

SURELY someone else is having this issue.

Thanks
Bill

I'm having the exact same issue but on Dell Precision 390s with a RAID
volume. I've posted a similar question on Experts Exchange and am
waiting for a response about it. I can get the XP SP3 image to work
only if the workstation I'm deploying the image to has one drive. It
immediately BSODs after sysprep if the workstation is configured with
a RAID0. The weird thing is that I have an Acronis sysprepped image
that isn't experiencing this issue.

At this point, I'm using WDS to deploy XP SP3 to all workstations with
single drives, while using an Acronis BootCD to restore the image to
workstations with RAID volumes.

I've tried out MDT 2008, but it errors out with a couple of errors.
