Windows - Delayed Write Failed

Hi,

I have a Proliant Dl380 G3 running Windows 2000 Server SP4 as our File
server. The server is up to date in terms of patches/ hotfixes.

About a week ago, users started receiving an error stating:

"Windows - Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the date for the file *filename*. The
data has been lost. This error may have been caused by a failure of
your computer hardware or network connection."

I've run the diagnostics for the NICs, which show they are fine, and
the 'Enable Write Caching' box has been unchecked. There are no event
logs entries on the server for when this happens.

The clients are Windows XP Pro, and there aren't any useful EL entries
on that side either.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Dilan

Have you check if there are a new drivers for the controller or hard disk? or check this page for more troubleshooting tips,

While a client is writing a file to a server across the network, they may receive the following error message: {Delayed Write Failed}.....
