Windows Defender

I'm having difficulties with windows defender on my kids PC. It kept failing
when I tried to update the definition files. I removed it from the PC, went
to the MS download website and re-installed, same problem, here is the error
message:

ERROR FOUND: CODE 0X80004002

WINDOWS CANNOT FIND 'HTTP://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=67233

Has anyone had this happen, do you know what is cauysing it? I'm running
VALIDATED GENUINE Windows XP Home Edition.

BTW: No problems with it on my other PC upstairs......
