Hello sherberg,

The 64-bit version is for 64-bit OS versiºns. Is named Windows Defender64.msi
The 32-bit version is for the 99% of the users is named Windows Defender.msi

The X64 is the 64bit installer - unless you have the 64bit XP Pro (which
most do not have) you will wªnt "WindowsDefender.msi"

Please go back to the download site and do a new download. Save the
downloaded file to the desktop, so that you can see the name. The proper
download should be windowsdefender.msi.

Do not download the 64-bit version unless you are running a 64-bit version
of XP.

I hope this post is helpful, let us know how it works ºut.
