Windows defender will not turn on.

Ever since installing service pack 1 for Vista, my windows defender will not
turn on. I get the balloon and it tells me that it was unable to turn on and
to try again later. Any suggestions?

Are you running Windows Live OneCare?

What antivirus product are you running, and has it been updated recently?
 
I'm not sure. I've never heard of that, sorry.

I use AVG and it updated this morning. It's updated two or three times since
this problem began.
