Apparently you have Windows Defender installed and it is failing. I
would post your question in one of the Defender newsgroups where it may
be a known issue. In the meantime, I would also check the computer for
viruses and malware per these general steps:

http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

And here is the information about where to post WD questions:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/newsgroups/default.mspx

These newsgroups can be accessed via NNTP or HTTP.

To access these newsgroups using NNTP, please use the following
information for your NNTP client (such as Microsoft Outlook Express):

- NNTP Server: privatenews.microsoft.com
- Account name: privatenews\spyware
- Password: spyware

NOTE: No password will be required via the HTTP link.

uninstall it, then reinstall it - it's free so it
shouldn't be made more difficult then it has to be....

You are posting in triplicate?
Are you using that outdated, slow, useless discussion group in the web
interface?

You are using the web interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest,
clunkiest, most error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and
switch to a newsreader, such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows.
See http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/outlookexpressnewreader.htm
This is not the only thread like this.
It must be sooooo slow in there tonight :)
When I last used it a couple of years ago, I used to wait at least 10-15
minutes for a post to appear - sometimes longer.
Wes and Malke steered me to newsgroups - some may think that was a mistake
