Windows configuration

Windows XP Pro. I keep getting an error box saying "Please wait while
windows configures Earthlink Accelerator." I have DSL. I can deleted the
error box by pressing the 'cancel' button many times but as soon as I click
on a desktop icon, the error box comes back.

I have searched Google and Earthlink files to no avail. Can anyone help me
get rid of this error box as it really slows my machine.

my guess is that it is
an data doubler/accelerator program
provided for 56k modems/isp service.

it either compresses the data
or double's the transmission/data
transfer rates.

how to uninstall it
is something you need
to look around on your pc
or at the earthlink faq site.

could b a startup in the msconfig
that could be disabled or
you might find the uninstaller
in its parent folder or via a/r
programs.
