Windows cannot open this file?

Every time I start or restart my computer I get the
following pop-up message:

"Windows cannot open this file:

File: TFTP4060

To open this file, Windows needs to know what program
created it. Windows can go online to look it up
automatically, or you can select from a list of programs
on your computer.

What do you want to do?
Use the Web service to find the appropriate program
Select the program from a list"

This never used to happen. What does it mean and how can
I stop it? When I choose the first option (Web service)
it takes me online and says the page cannot be found.
Please help.

Hi LV

The same things happened to my home pc and I can't seem to find any answers myself. When I reboot none of my startup programs are capable of loading, I can't access the internet and when I click the option to have windows search automatically online, I get a file download.

Have you found the cause of this issue and if so were you able to fix it

I too, had the same symptoms. I found under
allusers/programs/startup/ a zero byte file named tftp4060 with no
extension. So when the computer started up this file tried to start
but with no extension it couldn't.

Hope this helps.

To all of you who have posted with this type of problem in this thread:

What does a scan with a current antivirus program (meaning a version not
earlier than 2002 and using updated virus definitions) show?
