I use a laptop at home and a desktop at work. When I use
my laptop at work everything is fine, that is, it
replicates my desktop computer. When I use it at home I
get the message "Windows cannot find the active desktop
HTML file. Click OK to turn off the active desktop."
Then, of course, I have no active desktop, no wallpaper,
etc. Anyone have any idea what/where this file is, so I
can copy it to my laptop?
e-mail reply is ok.
Thanks,
Tim

You should be able to go to the Web tab in the Display Properties to see
which Active Desktop contents might be coming from the server at work. My
guess is that a GPO is configured to point to a server at your work, and
when you are at home, the file does not exist. Or, if you don't have
Internet access at home, it is looking for a URL that can't be found since
you dont' have WEb access.

Regardless, you should be able to see the settings from the Web tab, unless
you have been denied that access from the GPO on the work domain.
