Does my Windows XP Home come with an antivirus program
out of the box? I've downloaded the current updates, but
do I still need more. Thanks

Windows XP does not include an antivirus program.
I suggest you consider an excellent one:

No, it does not come with anti-virus software.

And, based on the virus/worm problems that have been going on this past week
and the new ones which have begun to circulate today, you need some - and
fast! There is a good free download available at:
