With the integrated graphics system, you need to ensure you've allocated the
full amount of RAM that it can use (128MB should be what yours allows.) Do
this in the BIOS setup.
Since this is taking RAM from system use, be sure you have enough RAM
installed. Your machine probably came with 512MB - take away the video
usage and you barely have enough to run XP decently. You can go up to 2GB in
your box - you'll need it.

This IGP is incapable of running Windows Vista's Aero interface, even though
it is certified as DirectX 9 compliant. This inability is caused by the lack
of a WDDM driver for the chipset. This is apparently due to the lack of a
"hardware scheduler" in the GMA chipsets. [25]

It does look like you can add a PCI Express video card, which could give you
Aero capability.

i know how to enable aero...but i do not have the option, i am running vista
ultimate x86 on a dell demension 3100/E310...how can this be fixed?
