Window Aero

I have Vista Ultimate with a Windows Aero Experience rating of 3.2 and have
been having no problems with getting Windows Aero up until I added a
Hauppauge PVR-150 TV tuner which everybody else says there is no problem with
being anti-Aero. Now even when not running the TV application, Windows Aero
is not listed in the Color Scheme list so I can't select it to return to
Aero. I have also disabled all of the startup programs that I thought might
be contributing to this, but this didn't help.

Thanks

See if you can find their website and check of there are new drivers for
the card, maybe the CD you got with it has drivers that are quite old.
The installation may have upset or disabled other video drivers that
were needed to provide Aero so you may have to look at the video card
makers website or if it is onboard video the motherboard makers website,
if it's a Dell or something branded then the Dell website or whatever.

If no luck post back here with more details of the PC, the video
hardware in use and the amount of memory you have, it "Could" just be
insufficient memory I suppose, especially if the video system "Steals"
some form the main system. Don't know if anyone knows for sure the
minimum memory but I would suggest that 2 GB will help with numerous
things, more memory is almost always better and a good investment with
Vista.

I have their very latest drivers. The display is the on board intel 82945G
chipset for which I have the very latest driver and I have 3 GB of ram.

I have removed the TV Tuner, uninstalled the TV application and reset
everything back to the way it was when Aero was working. And still, I don't
see anyway to get Aero going again. Isn't there SOME resource that can help?
Thanks
