Microsoft on Wednesday released Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 service pack 1 (SP1) to its OEM partners and announced that the service pack will be made available to all customers on February 22.

Yeah the russian leak was an old RC version IIRC, not the full RTM, how much difference bwtween the two there will be i dont know though.

It does make me laugh everytime Microsoft come out with something new how many leaks there are, and how many ex MS emplyee's have leaked stuff.

Yeah it made me laugh too...
But I'll wait for the release Date... And after the product launched, people prefer to use Piracy... Strange but its true..

Perhaps some people do, these are mostly people who were dropped on their head as a baby, watched a SAW movie aged three years old or are suffering shell shock after some fierce combat at Gallipolli.

I always wait for official MS releases, the early releases and betas are often worse than the version they're trying to improve.

Only exception I'll make to Betas are video drivers, they are sometimes good. Well, the Nvidia ones are anyway ;)

Meh i'll just wait for WU to kick in, as it will probs be less than the 1900mb's for that ISO.

lol, just did a quick manual check and its there, 73-892mb's. :)

Along with a couple of little hotfixes.

Fixed mine. Its because i use Driver Sweeper to clean before installing/upgrading graphics drivers. ;)

Everything is fine with SP1, just that now i've got to go and enable my themes and stuff... :/ The default win 7 theme is fugly.

Eventually got mine installed.Me mate suggested disbling Avast and that obviously did the trick

I have downloaded the update it took 3/4 of an hour on a 10 meg download speed and took about the same time to install it

Glad to help, as i did tell you to use Driver Sweeper when you upgraded to your 460. :p
