Windows 7, Outlook 2003...

Upgraded to Windows 7, using the easy transfer process.
When I go to send an email, none of my contacts show as available.
If I go to the contacts view, they are all there, but when clicking
the 'to' button, none of them come up.
How doI fix this?

Right-Click on Contacts and set as Outlook Address Book...

Right-clicked, went to properties>outlook addresss book & the 'show
this folder as an email address book' is grayed out.

Try adding the Outlook Addressbook service to your Outlook profile.

In Outlook do Tools |Email Accounts| Add a new directory or address book.
Restart Outlook.
Then make sure your Contacts Folder is enabled as an email address book.

I get the message 'this account or directory type already exists and
cannot be specified twice.'
The 'show this folder as an email address bo the message 'ok' is
grayed out.
My old computer is still intact - would there be an easier way, like
delete contacts on win7 computer, export from old computer & bring
back in a different way?

Easiest answer is to create a new Outlook Profile and connect the existing
pst file.
Do Control Panel-Mail-Show Profiles-Add, create a new profile and add the
existing pst file to it.
This is unfortunately one of the usual side effects of using Windows Easy
Transfer to transfer Outlook data - don't use it in future!

If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when
you click on the To button, check these settings:

Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right
click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is
the box to enable as email address book is checked?

If this is grayed out...

Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or
address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add
it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close
then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it.

If you are using Outlook 2007 and the the checkbox is grayed, you'll need to
make a new profile as you can't add the Outlook Address Book service due to
a bug.
