Windows 2003 existing in NT 4 environment

I'm in the middle of moving users from a NT4 server to a W2k3 server.
However, I've found that the users in the NT4 domain cannot access
their data on the W2k3 server. Both servers are PDC (W2k3 is AD).
It'll be a few days before the NT4 server is removed due to a
scheduling conflict with the technicans that are supposed to migrate a
application from NT4 to W2k3. So in the meantime, the users need
access to their data on the new server.
When I have a user on the NT4 server try to access their OL2K3 pst
file which is on the W2k3 server OL complains about not being able to
access the folders. On another app the program keeps crashing because
it too cannot access the data file on the w2k3 server.
Not being a Windows person, can someone guide me in the right
direction? Is this a trust issue or is this an issue between AD and
NT4?

Thanks

I think it is name resolution issue. can you ping the 2003 server by name? or use net view command to test it.

It is most likely an NTFS permissions issue. Do some reading up on the ADMT
(Active Directory Migration Tool),...it can do a lot,...but you have to take
a lot of care to make sure you do it right the first time,...doing things
wrong can be unforgiving.
