Access denied on W2k DC

Hi,

I'm having trouble at a customers lan. They have 2 DC's,
one W2k and one W2k3. Since installing a new ADS the W2k
server cannot be used by NT4 workstations. When browsing
the network, clicking the server has the result 'access
denied'. All other servers, including the W2k3 DC, don't
have this problem. Also, connecting to the server from a
W2k Pro workstation is no problem either. I checked for
local policies, but cannot find anything. Do you know a
reason for this?

Hi Marina and Jacob,
This sounds like a restrictanonymous issue.
246261 How to Use the RestrictAnonymous Registry Value in Windows 2000
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=246261

Check out this article, I think it will help. Note the value of 2 will
cause this problem.

Please note that you won't get an access denied error message back if you
are not using WINS. The access denied explicitly means you are accessing
the server and name resolution is working, otherwise you would get a Path
Not found error message.

Hope this Helps!
