Windows 2000 Spanned Volume (missing drive)

I have 4 ide drives using Windows 2000 SP4 on a P3 system. 3 of the drives
are in a software spanned volume. Two are IBM 120gb drives and 1 is a
Maxtor 160gb 6Y160P0. The IBM drives in the spanned drive seems to be fine,
but the 160gb list as missing in disk manager. All of the drives shows up
in device manager and during post all 4 drives display and list their model
number.

I am looking for suggestions on how to bring the missing drive (160gb
Maxtor) back into the volume.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have a screenshot of your diskadmin that you can post? Typically if
you lose a drive in the volume then they are all in potential risk for
failure. I would be interested to see what diskadmin looks like.

Thank you for your post. I will be glad to get a screen shot. I did run a
program from maxtor last night caleld powermax that scanned the surface of
the drive and found errors.
After the fix of the errors device manager added another drive to the list.

So it now reads
disk1 (spanned) (120gb)
disk2 (spanned) (120gb)
disk3 (unpartiontioned) (160gb)
disk missing (spanned) (160gb)

Of course disk3 is the one missing from the spanned. It seems that powermax
fixed the surface, but broke the spanned volume.
I will get a screen shot and seend it.
