Windows 2000 Server-Login problem and C drive

A

I have a Windows 2000 Server production system that has all of a sudden
started having some odd behavior. When i go to login to the server it
will start logging me in and then it will kick me back out to the logon
screen. I have also noticed that i am not able to connect to the admin
share for the c drive..C$. There are also many services that are
failing due to the inability to connect to the C drive. I am able to
connect to another drive on the system(D$). This server is a file
server for my organization. It is serving up files fine from the "D"
drive. I am able to remotely connect via computer management snap-in
and also the registry, but can't do anything when trying to login or
remotely connect to "C:". Has anyone come across this before?

This sounds like one of two things; the drive letter has change from
original install, or the drive permissions have changed.

Thanks Dave...it appears that was it. The c drive somehow was now the E
drive. Once i reboot the server all should be good. I'm able to
login now at least. Thanks again.
