Windows 2000 Server Image restore

Hi,

I have 5 DC with Windows 2000. I have a ghost image of all my DCs.

Here is my question:
If one of my DC goes down, and I use my image to rebuild my server, what
happens to AD? Does it synchonize with all my active DCs? Does it take all
the new users, groups, etc from my DCs that are sill online?

Is there any other actions that I need to take when I restore a DC with an
image file?
