Windows 2000 Server Error

I have a server running windows 2000 server with service pack 4. On boot up
I get an error that says spoolsv.exe - entry point not found. The procedure
entry point GetPrinterA could not be located in the dynamic link library
spoolss.dll. You have to click ok on the error message before the server
will boot up fully. Can anyone point me in the right direction to make the
error message go away? I searched microsoft knowledge base ,but could not
find anything that would help.

Thanks in advace,

Morley

I googled the error message "spoolsv.exe-entry point not found" and there
are more than a few people that are having this problem with HP Printers.
In multiple places it's suggested that you need to completely uninstall the
software, (maybe even use a scrubber available from HP) then reinstall the
most current version of the software. Others have suggested that you need
to run sfc /scannow to check for any protected system files that have been
overwritten or corrupted. In some cases this will ask for you to insert the
setup CD. Exit the autorun and then run the command again. These are just
suggestions. Try googling this yourself and see what you can find. Best of
luck.
