Windows 2000 pro

I reinstalled windows 2000 pro, now when I right click on
start, go to explore and try to view the files. I can't
see any files in the left screen. I have tried switching
the view options but still have no luck. any ideas or help.

Sounds like you may have closed the folder view option.

If you have the button bar showing, click the folders icon, and the left
folders pane should reappear

If the left pane appears gray, then this is the known problem.
It is caused by some dll version conflict. There is an KB article
for it. Just search the google for it.
