Windows 2000 Pro upgrade vs. clean install over Win ME: mistake

My first message doesn't seem to have posted yet. I'll try once more

I went ahead and did an upgrade of Win 2000 Pro over Win ME instead of a clean install like I should have done

Can I go back and now do a clean install of Windows 2000 Pro given that I just did the upgrade

yes just boot with the 2000 CD and erase the current disk
configuration then install 2000 as a clean install
