I have a customer with a very small network (3 pc's). One is Windows 2000 and it has shared drives and shared printers on it. What has happened it the Windows 98 machine shares the printer and all of a sudden it says password has expired and nothing else, no access is allowed. Before this they had a simular issue where it would say password expired for sharing the hard drive. The windows 98 machine had other problems and I reformatted, but it is doign the same thing on the printer now??

It sounds like the password used on the W2K machine to allow access has
expired. If you don't care if passwords expire or not on the W2K computer
use Computrer Management [right click My Computer icon -manage] and then go
to local users and groups and find the account that is being used and in the
account properties select "password never expires" . You can use the
command "net accounts" to see if the computer is configured with a maximum
password age. The command "net user username" [substitute real username]
will tell a lot on info about an account that may be helpful. --- Steve
