I had an old Windows 2000 computer given me that was not
working. When I got it working it asks me for a username
and password.

I have asked the person who gave me this computer but they
have forgoten it.

How can I get into this computer without re-installing the
operating system?

Thanks for any help

Hi

You might try to reset the local Administrator password
with one of the methods mentioned here:

You might just type administrator in the User and leave the "pass:" blank.
