Windows 2000 freezes using router

I have a Netgear MR814 wireless router. It worked fine
with a dial-up connection to the remote computer. When I
changed to a DSL Internet connection the remote computer
freezes when accessing the Internet. On my host computer
I have XP on the remote computer I have 2000 Pro. I have
heard it is a PPPoE conflict. I can't understand why it
freezes the remote computer with no error messages. I
have contacted Netgear. I have also contacted SBC and
still have not corrected this problem. Any help out there
will be appreciated.

If you have a router, don't use ICS.

<dsl modem> ---> <router> ---> workstations.

Let the router handle the PPPoE connection and do DHCP and NAT for the
workstations.
