Window XP Pro

I just purchased and installed Windows XP Pro. When I
tried to open Outlook it requested the Office CD. I
followed the commands. When it opened I had lost all of
my contacts and emails from the previous operating
system. Are they just gone or can I retrieve them
somehow?

This can be better answered in the office newsgroup.

But as I recall, these settings are in a file named outlook.pst. Check to
see if you have two files with that name, then try to import the older file
into Outlook. However when you reinstalled Outlook (if you did) it may have
over written the file.

You may want to wait a get a better answer from one of the MVP's in the
Office newsgroup.
