I just downloaded the latest Windows Updates for XP and know everytime I try and get to the internet it automatically shutsdown. It says that I need to download something, but the computer shutsdown in about 1 minute before I can find out. It brings up a dialog box saying it will shutdown in 1 minute and t don't know how to cancel the auto shutdown. Does anybody have any advice

Always keep your antivirus and spy removal applications (link on the bottom of the page) up-to-date, and scan regularly.

Start>Run> Shutdown -a

Should stop the automatic shutdown and allow you to search the sites in the
previous post and to download the latest patches for windows xp.

Hope this helps,
