Window Titles and Icon Comments

R

Ronald Frye

Operating System: Windows 2000 Professional on all eight
of our Family History Center computers.

Problem 1: On one of our eight computers, opening any
folder, only the first letter of the title appears in the
title bar. Example: If a folder on the desktop is
entitled, "Genealogy Programs", only the "G" will appear
in the title bar. In other instances on this same
computer, only "C" appears in the folder's title bar, no
matter what the folder name.

Problem 2: As you may know, right-clicking on an icon,
one can add comments to the icon to describe what the
program does (when the mouse cursor is placed over the
icon). On seven of our eight computers, if an icon
comment has four lines of text, all four lines display
completely. On one of our eight computers, only 1 1/2
lines of a four-line icon comment displays.

I'm stumped. Can anyone out there offer suggestions as to
how to solve these two problems?

Thank you,
