window logo testing

having purchased a Sony handycam vidio I tried to load the driver from CD provided, but was stopped by software"not windows logo testing". Help please - I thought it was just plug & play with USB on XP. I am not a computer "buff" so keep explanations simple please!

Were you not able to continue with the installation of the driver or did you
see the error and not install the driver because you saw the error?

If you decided not to install based on the error, go ahead and install the
driver, it just means Sony hasn't submitted the driver for testing but they
have likely tested it. NOTE: if you do have issues as a result, you need to
contact Sony about the issue.
