Win98se to XP upgrade, no wireless!!!

I have a small office network that is set up with a NT
4.0 Server, also a Linksys 4 port Cable/DSL modem that is
connected to a DSL line and also hard wired to a wireless
Linksys access point. There are 6 users and they are all
running 98SE and connecting through the access point with
Linksys instant wireless PC Cards. They are all running
fine. I updated a couple of computers to XP Pro and now
they cannot connect. The computers cannot see the network
and cannot connect to the Internet no matter what I try
and do. The cards are seen in control panel and said to
be working properly. I have switched between static and
dhcp for I.P.'s and have also directly put in the dns
servers but nothing works. Does anybody have any
ideas???? Help!!!!

Sorry, let me explain it better. There is a 4 port
DSL/Cable Linksys router that is connected by an Ethernet
cable to a Linksys wireless access point. The computers
have wireless Linksys PC cards that use the wirless
access point. So basically the users connect by their
wireless pc cards using the wireless access point that is
then connected by an ethernet cable to a 4 port cable/dsl
router which then connects to the dsl modem which
connects out to the Internet. Any help????

Can they see the AP at all? Have you configured the Wireless Connection
properly (e.g. with the AP's SSID, encryption, etc.)?

You might want to run Windows Update before you attempt this. The
Wireless Zero Configuration is not part of the base XP install, if I
remember correctly.

They can't see anything. It doesn't even give me the
option of seeing available wireless networks.

Have you tried the Network Setup Wizard? Have you tried "ping" to test
the connectivity? Tried pinging to specific IP's (e.g. 216.109.117.206)
instead of names requiring dns (e.g. www.yahoo.com)? What do you mean
"can't see" ... just what is "looking"?

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
