Win95 game on XP

Gizmos and Gadgets, by the Learning Company, can't find the sound card
drivers for win95. I get the msg "The MIDI driver for your sound card could
not be found"
I don't know how to get the software to look for the win 95/98 midi driver,
or if they are even available. My son really loves this game and I really
would like for him to be able to play it. I have installed the compatability
toolkit, but am not sure what to do with it to resolve the problem. This is
legacy software so TLC won't touch it.

Thanks,

Things to try:

1. Run the program in XP's Compatibility Mode. Look in XP's Help &
Support for details.

2. If that doesn't work, either keep an older machine around running
Win95 or consider:

3. Virtual PC 2004 - you can install this program on XP and create
virtual machines running other operating systems. I have virtual
machines running DOS 6.22, Win3.1, Win95, Win98, and OS/2.

Try to find out what the appropriate "Set Blaster " line should be for
Windows 95 on your machine and add that line to the
c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt file.

Good luck
