Hi Folks,
Got a win2k standalon PC here. This is the problem:
As the machine boots up it displays the win2k startup screen and the
little blue blocks get to the far side of the screen.
It then says that it is going to check the file system on C: and that
it is FAT32. It further says that it is going to check for
consistency.
Windows is checking files and folders.
After reaching 100% it reports that it found no problems and goes to
continue booting. Now heres the problem, almost immediately it reboots
without warning and we start the process all over again - a
countinuous boot cycle.
I have tried to get into safe mode and the blocks reach the far side
of the screen, their is a lot of disk activity, but eventually the
computer spontaneously reboots.
Anybody got any ideas as to fix this problem?
It is a Maxtor HDD and I am going to check their site for repair
tools....
Cheers in advance,
-Al
