Win2k Pro & Direct X 9.0c

I just did a clean install of Win2k Pro. I updated all
componants of Win2k using the Windows update site. I noticed that
Directx is only updated to 9.0b through the Windows update site.
DirectX 9.0c has been released. Is there a reason Windows update does
not update it for Win2k? It did it for WinXP.

Is 9.0c beta? I don't think beta updates are included in the Update Package.

As far as I can tell, it is the final. Go to microsoft's
DirectX page, and it's there for download. It says it's for Windows
98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP-based
system. WinXP's update site installs it.
I'm just wonderig if there is some reason it's not included in
Win2k's update site.
