Win2k .net framework fails to install

Windows 2000 Pro - Windows Updates -- Security Update for MS .Net Framework
KB922770 downloads, but fails to install.

Dave, I have the same problem on WIN2K...I keep getting the update shield
in the try and it never installs the proper stuff...is there anyone at MSFT
who can tell us what to do next???
 
I guess the answer is, nobody gives a darn at MSFT or they simply don't
know...

Uninstall .net framework, reboot computer, reinstall .net framework,
reboot computer, do the updates. I had the same problem yesterday.
