win2k from win98 network adapter drivers

Upgraded a house brand computer with an AMD processor and
integrated NIC on the motherboard now can't connect to
internet because it can't install the network adapter
driver, how could I go about trying to rectify this?
 
Check the hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest Windows 2000
driver for your device.
