Win2000 Server Freezing

Hello everyone,

All of a sudden my server is intermittently locking up. I know it's a
hardware issue because sometimes it will lock even before windows starts.
Here's my question though.

I have a Motherboard with 2 processors on it. I've eliminated EVERYTHING
execpt the 2 CPU's and the motherboard. I know it's one of those.

If I remove one of the processors to see if I have a bad one will my Windows
crash?
 
No, you can run a server with 1 CPU. So go ahead and
remove it. If you are still locking up with 1 cpu replace
it and remove the other and try again.
