Bill

I recently installed winXP service pack 1 and now when I attempt to start up
the computer I get an error message (black screen before loading anything)
"Disk read Error"..
New machine one day old.... Should I reinstall xp or is it an error in
reading the disk drive.. I can use install/setup (original XP disk) and
then see applications in C: drive..
any suggestions...
thanks Bill
