I hesitiated after all the horror stories, but decided to do the deed
this evening...turned off Norton Anti-virus, Black Ice Firewall, did
the install. Then turned off XP's built in firewall (unclear it
confers any advantage over my tried and true Black Ice), restarted
Norton...NO PROBLEMS. True, Windows Security Center won't
acknowledge Norton or Black Ice but they are working correctly.

No other glitches of any kind encountered so far...let's hope for the
best!

Upon trying to use Media Player 9 after SP2 install, I get an EULA to
accept, but the window it's in does not appear to contain any "I
Agree" button so installation and use cannot proceed. Seems like it
may be a font or window size issue...I've set WMP to run maximized
without benefit. Any suggestions?

Could try temporarily increasing your screen resolution
Right-click desktop > Properties > Settings

OR temporarily try the auto-hide feature of the taskbar
Right-click Start button > Properties > Taskbar > Check "Autohide the
taskbar"
(move your mouse to the bottom of the screen to bring up the taskbar, once
autohide is on)

Norton needs to have the "WMI Update" installed for the Security Center to
detect the program. It is available via Live Update. Not sure if Black Ice
Firewall needs any specific updates for the Security Center to detect it,
but you should make sure that you have the latest program version of the
firewall.

The Next button is probably hidden at the bottom of the screen...you've
encountered your first bug in SP2. On mine, the extreme top edge of the
next button is visible and I'm able to click on it...there's no way of knowing
it's the Next button, just an educated guess, which worked.

Thank you...to follow your suggestion I actually had to upgrade to NAV
2004, which seems a bit sluggish, but you are right...Windows Security
Center is now recognizing NAV as running correctly.

Thanks for the tip!

My wife, a Mac person of all things, suggested I use the "tab" key to
direct the cursor and hit enter...it worked...WMP now installed.

Even so, I hope MS corrects this strange dialogue box display issue
with next patch.

Sounds like a classical problem that occurs when you are running "large
fonts", and it's not SP2 related, although the graphic design of WMP 9
is a factor.
