Win XP pro + OE6 problem

Hi all,
Just did a clean install of XP pro on an old HP Pavilion XL918 machine.
System met the minimum requirements and was running XP home previously.
Anyway, I did the install, loaded NIS 2004 then went to windows update and
downloaded all critical updates. I defragged the machine then went to
configure email accounts. OE launched just fine and the first email account
was set up. Tried to configure email for a second identity and OE is running
dead slow. Takes 2-5 minutes to launch but then it runs fine. IE runs very
nicely but MSN explorer takes forever to launch.

Any ideas as to what may be causing the slowdown? Everything else seems to
running fine. All hardware is running fine with no conflicts.
