Win XP Pro Freezes during Setup

I am upgrading from Win 98 SE to Windows XP Pro. My
computer (Dell PIII XPS T450) always freezes at "Analyzing
Your Computer" with 66 minutes left for installation. I
tried installing from a Clean Boot, and also unplugged the
devices from the COM 1 port and game port on my sound
card. Only my mouse, keyboard, HP printer, SoundBlaster
sound card, and CD are connected. No luck!!

Any ideas on how I can fix, or work around this problem?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
