Win XP Pro Failed Installation

Can not complete installation of Windows XP Pro on my e-machine. Jus
recently increased RAM to 256 megs. I get the ERROR

Installation failed: syntax error in manifest or policy profile
E:\1386\ASMS\6000\MSFT\windows\common\controls\controls.man on line O

Windows XP loads for about 30 minutes then stops; with the above error. Wil
not load any further !! Help ?? thanks....Pet
