On the back of my OEM pack of Windows XP Professional,
just above the serial it says...

"Windows XP Professional 1-2CPU"

What does the 1-2CPU mean? Can I use this copy on a
standard computer fine?

Thanks guys!

Yes, you can use it on a single processor machine but XP will also support
multi-processor PCs.

Yes you can use it on a standard computer just fine.

1-2 CPU means it can support one computer that uses either one or two
processors internally.

Remember that "OEM" means that it cannot be transferred from one machine to
another, however.

Both phoenix and Robert's posts are correct. Windows XP
Professoinal licenses are only for up to 2 CPUs. I do not
know of any XP Pro licensing for only 1 processor.
