win xp logon gone dumb

have win xp home ie7 sp2.
my problem is this just a little while ago tonite i installed win media
player 11 and
now when i switch users it appears as the classic view with my desktop
picture as the background even tho the i have the box checked for the welcome
log on . any ideas on how to get it back ? i really hate the classic log on .

ok did a bit of reading and found out being on a domain will cancel the
freindly welcome screen . how do i check and get off of being a domain if
somehow i am on one ? ty again
