windows logon windows splash screen

I am looking for the safest way to remove Windows splash screen and the
windows log on screen. I finally got my windows xp pro reloaded and sp3 and
3 installed I do not want to mess it up. I have reinstalled it so many times
Microsoft turned off my key I had to call them and explain the problem to
get it reactivated. I have it set to the windows classic style. I have it
looking as much like win 98 as I can get it.

I'm not sure what your intent is. Do you simply want to log on
automatically?

If so, go to Start | Run, and type "control userpasswords2" Select the
account you want to logon to automatically. Then uncheck the box
"Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

Or do the same thing with TweakUI.

Ken that is what I want to do with the log in screen but I did not set up
the computer with a password so auto logon in tweak will not work. So I am
going to have to do some looking around and reading. I went through hell
getting this thing working I am going to be careful. On the windows splash
screen there is a way to remove it and you just get drivers loading just
looks better I think.

Yes, it should work with either method. Just leave the password field
blank.
