Win XP Logged off imeediately after logging on

hi,
My windows xp home edition has one user account to logon. When I enter the
password, Win XP says "loggin on... retrieving user's information...." and
then immediately says "logging off", and throw me back to the user logon
screen!
The same happens in safe mode, even if I select "Administrator" (no
password) to logon.
Help!

I am having exactly the same problem. Have you found the answer yet Hong
because I need urgent help too. Scotty
