win XP keeps restarting

I tried to add a stick of memory and computer would not start. I took it out
and tried restarting with what was originally in it. It just keeps
restarting. It gets to a point where I could choose restart in safe mode
which I tried but then just restarts again b4 I get in safe mode. I took out
the original memory and then reinstalled it to see if that would help, it did
not. I tried using Norton Go Back to an earlier date, that did not help. I
removed my sound card and that did not help. (that was a problem i had last
year that caused similar situation). Can any one please help with some
thoughts?

Hi Ted. I entered the recovery. I typed the first line of copy c:\ etc. hit
enter and said access was denied. Does this mean i am not logged on as admin?
If so how do I logon as admin? I can not enter windows even in safe mode.

I suggest you show your computer to a professional technician. The
procedures outlined in the Knowledge Base article are for users having
experience in these kinds of technical matters, as well as a lot of
guts. It will be worth your money, particularly if you don't have a
recent backup of your data.
