win xp installation

I have previously innstalled to copies of win xp on my
computer.. now I want to take them both off and put back
one! How do I get rid of the other 2 as I wantto start
fresh. I cannot figure out how to, as when I am trying to
do it from setup and all. It tells me it cannot delete
old win xp as there are some files on there that are
needed to complete set up of current installation. Help
me please someone!!

Delete the partitions that the other installs were on and format them, then
reinstall clean. If you dont have your data backed up, back it up =)
