Win XP Home Edition. Slow to open folders.

When I open a folder that contains some avi files. It
takes some minut just to check the properties. I had it
working earlier by editing the register, but after a
reinstall of my HD the problems is back, and I don´t
remember how I fixed it. I hope there is someone who can
help out.
