win XP Corporate Installation

I installed XP on to my laptop and it did indicate that
there was a file missing......... well in talking to the
IT dept (small firm) they told me to hit continue. Well
low and behold if it now does not start up ..... upon
starting it goes to a DOS screen and tell em to run a
CHKDSK/F

with stop address it looks lke or a code of
0x0000007B(0xF9c77640, 0xC0000034)

I cant get to DOS to run ChkDsk

any ideas

Bob, go to start click run type cmd, type cd\ and enter, type chkdsk and
enter. Hope this works for you, Bill
